Side-Out Partners With JVA

June 19, 2012 — The Side-Out Foundation is very excited to announce its partnership with the Junior Volleyball Association (JVA). Both organizations are committed to developing knowledgeable and responsible athletes committed to the sport of volleyball, and together they look forward to making a difference through the sport.

Jenny Hahn, executive director of JVA, is excited to forge this official partnership: “JVA and Side-Out have been talking to each other for almost two years. We enjoyed having the foundation participate in our 2012 JVA World Challenge. I have always been a huge fan of the work that Side-Out has done in the direct funding of research programs for breast cancer. We finally got down to business and have agreed to an official partnership! JVA is extremely proud to partner with them and help bring their message to our many member clubs.”

The organizations will collaborate on various tournaments and Side-Out will offer JVA memberships to club programs that donate a specific amount through the Dig Pink Tour. In addition, Side-Out will add a new award to its Side-Out Ambassador Program (SOAP), the Side-Out/JVA National Dig Pink® Award. By teaming up, both organizations hope to spread the word about what they are doing in the volleyball community and how youths are impacting the sport.

“Side-Out and the JVA share a focus on educating young players” Side-Out’s executive director Rick Dunetz explained. “That is what sets us apart and what makes for such a strong foundation for our partnership. We are thrilled to be working together.”
