This PBS – American Cancer Society program aired April 16th and I feel it is a must see for people living with cancer and the loving folks who travel the road with them. I, as a Cancer patient found it very validating on many scores and very insiteful with reference to the goals of modern medicine in finding different ways of doing things in the battle against this horrific disease, whatever form it is.
At the end of the program there was a discussion group of medical professionals who have had Cancer themselves being interviewed by a journalist who had a double mastectomy in her past. The questions and the answers from these doctors was profound in a multitude of ways. Their understanding of the journey each Cancer patient travels was stronger because they traveled similar journeys.
