Around Christmas-time my wife Akiyo and I bought my Mother tickets to see the Lion King. Mom blurted out something like, “Great! An event I can look forward to. I guess I have to live at least until July 5th!”. She is not feeling so hot today but here it is, July 5th, and we are all going to the show.
To be honest, I don’t really like when she says that stuff, even if she is just being sarcastic. But if small things like a Show at the Kennedy center get her fired up to fight, then I can deal with a little sarcasm.
