From Our Ambassadors

“The flexibility of the fundraiser helped me kickstart my very own business. I enjoyed the sense of independence. From the challenges to the victories, I loved every step of the way, and am so excited to have made a positive impact in the community.”
Nicole Ramirez
2021 Ambassador

“I’ve learned so much about what cancer actually is. I want to research and find new treatments that will help people get better. I want to make an impact in the lives of cancer patients, and this program has been my first step towards that.”
Hope Hoesing
2021 Ambassador

“This experience taught me so much because I have found a passion for advocating and sharing information about breast cancer. I know there are millions of others like my grandmother who are struggling, and I want to support them in their fight.”

REGISTER FOR THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
The Side-Out Foundation is excited to announce the long-awaited return of its Ambassador Program for the 2024-2025 school year. This program empowering high school volleyball players to become advocates for metastatic breast cancer (MBC) patients and The Side-Out Foundation's groundbreaking research, allowing Ambassadors to put their own unique stamp on expressing themselves through the power of social media.
The foundation’s roots trace back to the inspiring initiative of a girls volleyball team who organized the first Dig Pink event in honor of their coach’s mother, who was at the time recently diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. The coach, Rick Dunetz, subsequently started the organization which has since thrived on youth involvement. Now, the Ambassador Program aims to cultivate more youth advocates to be the face and voice of Side-Out by offering young athletes the opportunity to raise awareness and support for the foundation's mission while acquiring valuable skills and experiences.
