On Thursday afternoon my son Rick, my husband Bryant and I awarded a grant of $50,000 to a local organization called Life With Cancer. This is an organization that offers free support to people who cannot afford it. In a beautiful facility just built they offer all kinds of tender loving care, i.e. psychologists, exercise classes, a special area for kids of all ages who are either dealing with their own cancer but also those who are dealing with a loved one’s cancer. We are so proud to be able to assist this great organization become the model for establishing this type of organization nationwide. In the not too distant future this program will be implemented to benefit many of the generous communities that support Side-Out Foundation and DIG PINK.
