The World’s Largest Volleyball Event is Digging Pink in 2018

The Side-Out Foundation is proud to announce that we will be partnering with the Amateur Athletic Union during the 45th AAU Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championships this June 16th-28th in Orlando, FL. With an estimated 2,400 teams registered, an expected 50,000 spectators, 10,000 coaches, and 650 college coaches, this twelve-day event has held the title of largest volleyball event in the world since 2012 when the 16U Club division set the current Guinness Book of World Records mark. With your help, the world’s largest volleyball event can also become the largest fundraising event in the history of the Side-Out Foundation/Dig Pink. Join us and support stage IV breast cancer research through the AAU’s 2018 Dig Pink® Campaign.

The top fundraising team will be rewarded with a free entry to next year’s 46th AAU Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championships. Donations may be made online through June 28th, 2018 to be considered for the prize. All teams are encouraged to participate and show their support for breast cancer research. The winner will be announced by the end of June.

Also, don’t forget to put AAU’s Dig Pink Day dates in your calendar: June 18th, June 22nd, and June 26th. AAU is encouraging all participants and guests to wear something pink and share photos using the hashtag #AAUDigsPink to show their support for stage IV breast cancer patients! Please keep in mind that current uniform requirements must still be adhered to on these days.

The AAU Girls’ Junior National Championships start with an Opening Celebration and Ceremonies on June 16th at the ESPN Wide World of Sports where teams will march-in Olympic style and concludes on June 28th after crowning 33 National Champions.

If you’re headed to Orlando in June be sure to visit AAU’s fundraising campaign to make your donation today.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the AAU Championships in June!
