The Side-Out Foundation is proud to announce that we will be partnering with the Amateur Athletic Union during the AAU’s 44th Girls’ Junior National Volleyball Championships this June 14th-26th in Orlando. With an estimated 2,300 teams registered, an expected 40,000 spectators, 9,000 coaches, and 500 college coaches, this event has been the Guinness Book of World Records ‘world’s largest volleyball event’ for the past 4 years.
With your help, the world’s largest volleyball event can also become the largest fundraising event in the history of the Side-Out Foundation. Join us and support stage IV breast cancer research through the AAU’s 2017 Dig Pink® Campaign.
Teams or individuals that donate a minimum of $25 to the AAU’s 2017 Dig Pink campaign will have the opportunity to WIN free entry into next year’s AAU Girls’ Junior National Championships. All teams are encouraged to participate and show their support for breast cancer research. The last day to donate will be June 26th, 2017 so don’t wait! The winning team will be announced by the end of June.
Also, don’t forget to put AAU’s Dig Pink Day dates in your calendar: June 17th, June 21st, and June 25th. AAU is encouraging all participants and guests to wear something pink and share photos using the hashtag #AAUDigsPink to show their support for stage IV breast cancer patients! Please keep in mind that current uniform requirements must still be adhered to on these days.
The AAU Girls’ Junior National Championships start with an Opening Celebration and Ceremonies on June 14th at the ESPN Wide World of Sports where teams will march-in Olympic style and concludes on June 26th after crowning 33 National Champions.
