I have witnessed my sister-in-law “Glor” go through many changes since she was diagnosed over 10 years ago. Despite a recurrence, she has gained a strength that is both courageous and inspiring. She has not lost her joie de vivre and continues to enjoy her dance aerobics and her love of antiques, especially perfume bottles. I too, am involved in my community in New Jersey, chairing the 3rd Annual Walkathon to benefit breast cancer research and education. It is hard to find someone who is untouched by this disease. Hopefully, a cure will be found through research and trials. But, until we are there, thank goodness that there are drugs that hold the disease at bay, until a real cure can be found.
